On July 16, a scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Kazakh oil and the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the first fountain at the Karazhanbas field was held in Aktau.

The event was attended by representatives of leading oil companies of Kazakhstan, as well as domestic and foreign experts and scientists from Russia and China, including employees of the Center for Scientific and Technical Engineering Samgau – Senior Manager Yerbol Mazbayev and Chief Analyst Yerken Intykbayev. Following the welcoming speech of the management of Karazhanbasmunai JSC, the activities of the Center for Science and Technology and tools to support R&D projects were presented to a wide audience, as well as answers to topical questions were given.

Further, the prospects for the development of the Karazhanbas field were discussed. The participants considered the possibilities of increasing oil production through the introduction of modern technologies, including digitalization and the use of new methods of field development. One of the innovative reports was the topic “Introduction of the latest technologies in the field of seismic energy excitation for seismic exploration in order to study the geological structure of the earth”, which was financed at the expense of funds accumulated in thCenter for Scientific and Technological Initiatives and for the first time in Kazakhstan and Central Asia is being implemented at full speed at the Karazhanbas field.  The conference participants actively exchanged views and made their proposals for the further development of the field.
